Glamping in The Glamavan at Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm

The Glamavan was renovated in 2011.  It is our contribution to the Glamping, craze, not as extreme as camping in a tent (no creepy crawlies) and so much bigger than a gypsy caravan. The style is vintage, retro, shabby chic, Cath Kidston.  It stands in it’s own garden, on our organic farm with fabulous views over the Teifi Valley.  It is the only static caravan on the farm - you are not on a mobile home park or campsite.  There is an organic farm shop selling our homemade sausages and a B&B in the farmhouse.  We can cook breakfast for you in the farmhouse (£15), or bring it up to the Glamavan.  We can also provide a welcome hamper of essential supplies for your arrival, or you can stock up from our farm shop.

There is a double room with 135cmx200cm (4’6”) bed and a twin room with two small beds (60cmx180cm).  The comfortable window seat makes an adequate single bed.  There is a fully fitted kitchen with retro 50s cupboard, fridge, microwave, kettle & gas cooker.  Hot water is provided by a gas combi-boiler.  The new bathroom has a shower, with glass bi-fold door.  There is a fan heater, TV, solar radio, BBQ, double glazing and original art on the walls.  All bath towels and bedding are provided.  Please bring your own beach towels. 

Children and families are welcome.  We have a travel cot (which fits snugly in the double room) and high chair available upon request.  We have a play area with Wendy house and trampoline.  Please note that this is a working farm and children must be supervised at all times.  Well-behaved dogs are welcome too (see our access page). 

We have a friendly Welsh collie dog (Gyp), 2 pet ewes (Dot & Sheila) and their lambs.  There are hens and more sheep and Welsh black cattle grazing in the summer.   Sometimes there are pigs too.

We are 20 minutes from the coast, New Quay; beaches of Llangrannog, Tresaith, Aberporth and Penbryn.  We are half an hour from Aberaeron, Lampeter, Cardigan and Carmarthen.  The local gastro pub with excellent food is 2 miles away, The Daffodil at Penrhiwllan.  Newcastle Emlyn and Llandysul are 10 minutes away for all banks and local facilities.

We invite you to bring your friends and family to camp alongside you, in the Glamavan gardens, and charge £10pp/night, with full use of all Glamavan facilities.

Terms, 50% deposit with booking.  Payment required, in full, 1 month prior to arrival.  Payment is non-refundable when cancelling less than 2 months before arrival date.  We recommend taking out travel insurance to cover cancellation. . When cancellation is made after this time, refunds are given if accommodation is subsequently re-let. Any damage/breakages must be paid for.  Please leave the Glamavan clean and tidy as you found it.
