“As I walked down the rough lane and saw the farm in the afternoon sun for the first time, I knew my stay would be everything that I had hoped, and so it turned out to be…”
Clive Walker, Derby

Welcome to our
lovely farm.

ORGANIC FARM SHOP
We
sell local and organic produce. We feel it is important to support
local farmers and producers who play such a vital role in sustaining and
maintaining our beautiful Welsh countryside. Our little shop
provides an outlet for their wonderful produce, and a service for
visitors and local customers who want to buy local/organic food.
Being intimately involved in the whole process of selecting meat from
the farms, through butchering, processing and packaging, we need never
compromise on quality.
Meat is normally sold frozen but fresh can be ordered and is available regularly. Some of our suppliers include Hazelwell Farm, based in Pembrokeshire, specialising in matured rare breeds of beef and sheep; Capestone Organic Farm who supply our organic chickens, Dorset Farms specialise in traditional dry cured bacon and gammon (it is so good we had make an exception to our definition of ‘local’), and we sell Liz Findlay’s succulent Nantclyd organic traditional breed bronze turkeys at Christmas. At certain times of the year we offer beef packs with Tom Cowcher’s organic Welsh Black Beef from Penhriw in Capel Dewi. We also buy meat from Merlin Farm Organics, local producers who make good burgers too!
We
dry cure our own bacon from our rare breed pigs and make a variety of
speciality pork sausages using our own home-mixed recipe - Leek,
Cumberland, Toulouse, hot spicy Italian or simply plain pork. Our
home reared pork is limited and when we run out, we use pork from Welsh
Farm Organics and Poynings. We use Welsh organic pork from rare
breeds when possible..
We also sell home produced organic free-range eggs (from our ladies),and organic fruit and vegetables. We stock non-homogenized organic milk (Calon Wen), Welsh butter and yoghurt and Caws Cenarth award winning local cheeses. We supply all the organic essentials, like rice, pasta, cereals, flours, tinned food, jams and chocolate plus a range of Welsh delectables including Tregroes waffles, Welsh honey, jams, Aeron Jersey ice cream, cockles, laverbread and of course, leeks! Some of our organic veggies are grown and delivered by Ian Hearn from down the road in Brongest, and during the abundant harvest homegrown produce is sold too. Frozen organic peas, prawns, & chips are there for emergencies. We can supply welcome hampers for holiday cottages and visitors to the area.
Our stock lists are constantly being updated with new products and we would like to hear your suggestions for what you want us to sell.
